Exploring the Tweed Coast

Thank you to time to roam for the write up about our Tweed Coast Holiday Parks Fingal in the Exploring the Tweed Coast feature.

“Synonymous with beautiful beaches and iconic holiday towns such as Cabarita, Kingscliff and Tweed Heads. The Tweed Coast is one of the most popular caravan destinations in the country.

For this trip, we stayed at the beautiful Tweed Coast Holiday Parks Fingal. This caravan park is one of seven-holiday parks under the Tweed Coast Holiday Parks umbrella. Fingal has relented from building cabins along the entirety of its beachfront sites. Instead, having 9 beachfront cabins and 18 powered sites. Caravanners can still book a stay with views directly over the sand to the water.

Amenities at the park include 2 bathroom blocks, a laundry, kids’ playground and 2 outdoor BBQs and dining areas which were extremely popular during our stay.

It seems that many people prefer to use the parks BBQs for cooking, rather than their own. Which must mean the park is doing a great job of keeping their outdoor kitchen areas clean and functional.

One of the main reasons people holiday on the Tweed is to spend a lot of time in and around the water. The Tweed Coast has some of the best beaches in the country, starting with the one right in front of Tweed Coast Holiday Parks Fingal.

After your swim, take a short walk south to Fingal Headland. As well as the original lighthouse. Be sure to check out the unique hexagonal shaped rock formations at the point which the local Aboriginal people believe represents the spirit of the echidna.”
